Global Learning

Global Learning

As a school we believe Global learning helps develop a richer, more interesting curriculum. It uses real-world contexts to enthuse, inspire and engage pupils whilst helping to raise standards. It provides a positive approach to teaching fundamental British values and helps pupils make sense of the world they live and their role within a global society. Through promoting global learning we believe that as a school we have created an ethos which encourages empathy, fairness and respect.

Our approach to global learning embeds global learning into the curriculum. It helps them teach pupils about the challenges our world faces and think critically about how to deal with issues such as poverty, inequality and sustainability.

We recognise the importance of linking people’s lives through the world and we are beginning to set up links with schools throughout the world.
